Our Electronic Music Time Machine is running out of plutonium: I recently moved to a remote area and only have a stone age dial up connection at hand. With this bush telegraph it takes ages uploading new music (the recent files took me several days, including a good number of failed upload attempts). That's really no fun. Others may have better patience than me. Sorry for that and thanks to all who commented so far (very few, by the way: Pierre Henry's Machine Danse, for instance, was downloaded 334 persons but only one of them left a comment. Excursus: Blogging is part of the "social" web 2.0 because it's supposed to be interactive - but I've always tolerated the free riders and would have continued this blog anyway, with a faster connection).
I might upload new posts whenever I come across a faster connection (see please keep my RSS feed, just in case).
The good news: I updated all posts, so get everything while it lasts.
Good Bye or see you soon.

Oh i am sorry, i never posted a commentary and gave some feedback. I visit this blog since only a few weeks but there was so good music - latest was the Riley-Track. Thanks for your effort and very high standard.

Hello,
Not absolutely a fan of the kind of music you are putting on your blog, but well I have found marvelous things I was searching for years (Solaris, rare Steve Reich pieces, etc). Sorry to read that you won't continue the thing.
By the way, thanx for your good work
Eric Duboys, from France.
Im really sorry-id loved your blog it was a great resource-you know people are just shy-but Want to say thanks for everying
don't go!
Too bad! But very understandable. It's the truth, aint it, that the more things change... etc. The internet is as often as not a place to hide, not a place to meet. But anyway, THANK YOU mate, yours was one of the best... good luck to you and yours.
I know that I'm adding to the list of people who hadn't left a comment before now, but I have really enjoyed this blog, and have found some fascinating things on it. Please don't go...
dont go,i just found you!but hey thanks,i studied electronic music in college 20 yrs ago and i love your blog.thanks amigo..DEAN
Here's another anonymous person that now leaves a comment for the first time.
A pity that your stopping.
Your blog was one of the very few on the net that had interesting
classical electronic music on it.
So it is really a pity the blog is disappearing.
Thanks for the good music.
Greetings from the Netherlands.
I can understand your upload problems, but I hope that you'll find the energy to continue posting occassionally. You have your hands on some truly rare and innovative music that I think lots of people would love to hear!
Feel your dial up pain. Have it on the home computer.
If it is goodbye , then thank you VERY much for all.
A brilliant stop!
just stumbled in (via meshes) and am floored by what I'm seeing here (some of which I strongly suspect as been retransmitted elsewhere)
you've left behind quite a legacy (hell, gonna' take a day or two to catch up) and sad to see it end
if I could possibly persuade you to drop a bush tele bomb on us from time to time (got an RSS feed set up to check in) it would be MOST pleasant and might take some of the "job" of blogging out of it
all the best
Hi!
This is a wonderful blog...I just discovered it a few weeks ago...and I said to myself...How!Lot's of hard to find early electronic music!!! Well it's realy a pity that you won't upload anymore!
Anyway thank you very much for sharing this great music.
Greetings from Portugal!
I hope that uploading works for you once again as you'll be missed. There's not many blogs posting vintage (or early) electronic music and it would be sad to see one such as your great blog come to an end (too soon). All of your work is highly appreciated. Thank you and take care.
Hi there
I'm guessing I'm too late to catch stuff but thoroughly impressed with the blog and would have loved to check out a few bits and pieces. the Luc Ferrari interview in particular but I'll have a go at the Archive and see if I can find it some how. I was lucky enough to meet him when he did a performance of 'Tautologos III' at the tate modern. I think you can still download an MP3 of his performance. He was a lovely man to spend time with although I have to admit I was only helping with the recording and post-producing it. Somewhat humbling but great stuff. the directions to the performers were interesting...to pick a musical motif and time period and repeat the motif at a given times. As the 6 performers chose different time periods the motifs would interact over time to create different textures etc (but you'll be familiar with his techniques no doubt). The little bit that seemed to confuse the performers was that they could maybe change their motif to respond to any interactions if appropriate. When asked to clarify when might be appropriate Luc Ferrari simply replied "when it becomes boring". It was so obvious and unpretentious. He died later that year I'm sorry to say so I'm rather lucky to have had such a day and spend time watching him mould one of his pieces and experience the result. Out of interest (or not) you'll find a few other bits of free audio; Alvin Lucier, Kaffe Matthews, David Grubbs, Akim Wollscheid etc at Tate.org/onlineevents. Sorry I missed the blog in full flow, a fine mission and greatly impressed. Hope you're enjoying the new abode.
Cheers
Tull

Very sorry you're closing up, but your reasons make lots of sense...and I bet living in the country is worth it! Just discovered your blog, though, and it is wonderful...perhaps you might still post once in a while? This is a wonderful resource! At any rate, thank you very much for the re-uploads...that was very kind. I will be hearing many things here for the first time.
i recently came across a recording called "Savage Songs," by Jorge Antunes. It's early electronica from brazil. i don't know much about this sonic world, but my gut tells me it might be your cup of tea. just in case you weren't already familiar, which i doubt.
Thanks for making so many interesting sounds available.
